Post Malone Spotted Filming Music Video With Emerging Texas Country Rapper

Post Malone and BigXthaPlug have reportedly teamed up for a genre-crossover ahead of the latter's upcoming album release.

The lines between country music and rap continued to blur. The crossover genre is becoming increasingly popular, both in the US and around the globe. Rapper, BigXthaPlug, appears to be capitalizing on the shift, as he gears up to drop his genre-fused album "I Hope You're Happy."

Interestingly, the track list doesn't feature a collaboration with Post Malone. The "Rockstar" singer is arguably the most logical feature for BigXthaPlug as he looks to fuse rap and country together. However, even though Post Malone isn't set to feature on the album, it does look like a collaboration is in the works. The duo was recently spotted filming a music video together.

While there's no release date for the song, which is titled "Cold," fans will undoubtedly be excited to hear the collaboration. Getting a track with Post Malone completes a long list of collaborations for BigXthaPlug, with the likes of  Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Ella Langley, Darius Rucker and others all cited in song listings for his upcoming album.

It's clear the rapper is preparing for a release that's full of hits, which could potentially dominate the country rap scene for the next year or more.

Post Malone Set to Headline Dallas Cowboys Halftime Show

The leaked music video footage isn't the only Post Malone news making the rounds today. The Dallas Cowboys also announced the megastar as their headline act for the Thanksgiving halftime show.

"I'm from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years," Malone said of the news. "It's a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff with The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys and help bring hope to so many people."

The event, which will take place when the Cowboys face the Detroit Lions, will also feature Jack White.  Eminem and his manager, Paul Rosenberg, will serve as executive producers.

Clearly, Post Malone is keeping himself busy. Between shooting a new music video, featuring on the song and prepping for a halftime show, he can't have much time to rest. Nevertheless, that's the cost of superstardom, and Post Malone is highly unlikely to complain. After all, things are going exceptionally well for him.
