What Is the Lawsuit About
Priscilla's ex business associates, Kevin Fialko and Brigitte Kruse, reportedly filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 11. They allege that "pull[ed' the plug" shortly after Lisa Marie was admitted to a hospital in early 2023. She passed away on January 12 at UCLA West Valley Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 54. The cause of her death was cardiac arrest.
Per the outlet via Us Weekly, "the plaintiffs allege Priscilla ignored Lisa's 'clear directive to 'prolong her life' as part of an effort to 'regain control' of Elvis' lucrative estate." Fialko and Kruse allege that Priscilla, 80, was aware that Lisa Marie supposedly intended "to remove her as sole trustee of her irrevocable life insurance trust."
They also reportedly claim that Priscilla urged Kruse to issue a statement to the media right after Lisa Marie succumbed. That was suposedly so she could "control the narrative." The two are alleging "fraud, breach of contract, and launching a smear campaign that included false accusations of elder abuse." They are looking for over $50 million in damages.
Priscilla's Lawyer Vigorously Pushed Back Against These Charges
Martin D. Singer, the attorney representing Priscilla, released a forceful statement on her behalf on August 13. Per the outlet via Entertainment Weekly, it said in part that Fialko and Kruse's lawsuit was "shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless." He added that "This is nothing more than a sad and vicious attempt to falsely tarnish the reputation of an eighty-year-old woman in blatant retaliation."
A little more than one year ago, Priscilla sued those same two ex associates, plus "two other business associates for 12 counts, including financial elder abuse."
