Rascal Flatts just announced the release of their Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets album, out on June 6. The record includes the trio's current single, "I Dare You," which they sing with the Jonas Brothers. But perhaps surprisingly, it's their duet with another group on Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets, which inspired the trio to do a full album of songs with other artists.

Perhaps surprisingly, Rascal Flatts began this project five years ago, when they were planning on their farewell Life Is A Highway Tour. The tour, of course, never happened because of the pandemic. But now, what was meant to be a final chapter could be the beginning of an entirely new season with Rascal Flatts.
"The Backstreet Boys is the first thing we did, and it turned out great," Joe Don Rooney tells their record label, speaking of singing "What Hurts The Most" with the famous boy band. "That kind of kicked things off. And then we had a little pause there for a little bit. We got back on the horse and finally rounded it out. So proud of this project. Grateful to be able to do it."
In addition to the Backstreet Boys, Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets also includes songs with Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Kelly Clarkson, Jordan Davis, and more.
"I Dare You" With The Jonas Brothers
"I Dare You" is already in the Top 40 on the charts, only a few weeks after it was released. The song is, to the threesome, the perfect way to introduce a newly-inspired version of Rascal Flatts.
"We're so excited to kick off this next chapter of Rascal Flatts with this single. Working with Kevin, Joe and Nick is such a blast, they're class acts," Jay DeMarcus says. "I think this song fits perfectly into our catalog while also showing off something new and exciting, and we can't wait to share it with our fans on the road!"
Rascal Flatts are currently on their Life Is A Highway Tour, which sold out most dates as soon as it was released. Pre-order of Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets is available now at RascalFlatts.com.
