Reba McEntire is getting in the Christmas spirit, but her festive attitude has some fans a little bit concerned.

It all started when McEntire got to work decorating her tree on Thanksgiving Day. Fans began suggesting that she was putting herself in a slightly compromising position on her decorating stool. "Please be careful," fans begged in the comments. Another said, "Reba, be careful, stay safe," as the country queen placed the topper on her tree.
Other fans were more focused on the singer's attire, which included a University of Texas tee. Amidst the concern, the comments were also littered with high praise.
"Go, Reba and Rex, and go, Texas! hook 'em!"
"I love that you are wearing a TEXAS sweatshirt! Hook'em!?"
"Beautiful and Hook'em Horns!"
As of this week, the country star and her family have a lot more to celebrate than just Christmas. In a faceoff with Texas A&M, UT Austin beat the Aggies 27 to 17. Even though they fell short of making the college playoffs, Texas rounded out a great season with 9 wins and its massive victory over the Aggies, who had previously remained undefeated.
Reba and Rex Celebrate Nearly One Year Engaged
Rex and Reba first met in 1991 on the set of a Kenny Rogers film, The Gambler Returns: The Luck of The Draw. "We kept in contact over the years, we both know the same people," Reba shared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "So it was just like good friends getting back together and having dinner."
Besides ringing in the New Year with festive decorations and football wins, Reba has a lot to look forward to in 2026. Just this September, the country singer announced that she and her Happy's Place co-star Rex Linn are engaged, and actively planning a wedding. Linn popped the big question around this time last year, after four years of being together.
She continued, "Then we started texting and talking on the telephone and getting to know each other better during the quarantine."
For right now, the couple is enjoying their extended engagement and is in no rush to get hitched. "I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life," McEntire shared with USA Today. "God saved the best for last."
