Her caption read, "Celebrating five years of tater tots this week! ?? #thetots #anniversary" The photos were of Reba and Rex at a restaurant five years ago, and then the same restaurant this year where they recreated the photo.
While the photo is adorable, it left many people wondering, what is the significance of tater tots? After all, there were no tots featured in the image so why is the singer mentioning them? Apparently, the couple bonded over a special love of tater tots. Entertainment Now shares that while they were working together on the TV show "Young Sheldon" they decided to go out to dinner and then a wine bar after.
During their outing, McEntire ordered tater tots, which earned her her nickname, "Tater Tot." Luckily for her, her soon-to-be boyfriend also shared a love of tots, so he got the name "Sugar Tot." In an interview on "The Jennifer Hudson Show", McEntire shared, "We're the tots — sugar and tater. We've been together ever since. He's a sweetheart."
