Reba McEntire is thrilled. She is absolutely ecstatic because she is the prospective bride of Rex Linn, 68, her longtime beau. Per People via USA Today, the singer and actress, 70, said, "I'm having a blast. It's just a wonderful time." She loves him and the marvelous engagement bauble he gave her, too. McEntire shared, "It sparkles all the time, and it doesn't matter that I don't think I've ever cleaned it."

Linn's Marriage Proposal to McEntire
She confided that Linn initially planned to present her with the ring last year. The timing was off, however. "...[T]he opportunity never presented itself. He brought [the ring] back home."
When he did pop the big question, McEntire remembered that she said, "What are you doing?" Linn replied, "Would you marry me? I want to cross the finish line with you." She did not answer him right away. Finally, Linn exclaimed, "You're not saying anything." And McEntire at last blurted out, "Well, yes! YES!"
Linn refleccted on the special moment between them. "I thought, if she doesn't say 'yes,' I'll just disappear into that creek. But then she said 'yes' three times."
The Couple Delayed Announcing Their Good News
McEntire and Linn did not immediately go public with their engagement out of sensitivity to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. She explained, "We were going to make the announcement when we got back to L.A. in January, and the fires happened. It wasn't appropriate,"
A wedding date has not yet been established. The two lovebirds are just letting things fall into place naturally. "I asked him, 'Well, when do you want to do this?' He said, 'Let's have fun with the engagement time.' So we haven't set a date or anything. We're just enjoying each other."

McEntire said to People, "I've never been loved by a man like Rex Linn. Rex is a very tender-hearted man, and I just love him with all my heart. He's a good guy. Real bashful though."
