Reba McEntire Is on Top of the World Being Engaged to Rex Linn: "I Just Love Him With All My Heart"

Reba McEntire is in a good place right now. A really good place. She is very successful on two hit TV shows, The Voice and the sitcom Happy's Place. (It makes its return this season on November 7.) And she is engaged to Rex Linn, her longtime beau. At 70, McEntire is having the absolute time of her life - and living it to the hilt. Per People, the "Fancy" singer seems to be bursting with joy and is eager to share it.

She exulted, "I think I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life. It's amazing. It's wonderful being 70 and getting to do what I get to do at the level I want to do it."

She has won just about every accolade that country music has to offer. McEntire landed a trio of Grammys and sold 75 million LPs. But her happiness now does not come from just impressive professional accomplishments. It's far deeper than that.

McEntire Can't Say Enough About Linn

It's clear that McEntire is head-over-heels in love with Rex Linn, 68. She gushed, "I've never been loved by a man like Rex Linn. Rex is a very tender-hearted man, and I just love him with all my heart. He's a good guy. Real bashful though."

She added, "Getting to work with Rex, drive to work with Rex and do the show, the rehearsals, drive home, talk about it, rehearse together — that's what's really special for me. I've not had that before." Linn has a role on Happy's Place.

She's Fully Focused on the Present

McEntire is not wallowing in the past. In fact, she is zeroing on right now. She had to "quit living for tomorrow and for yesterday. That's really hard to do, but it's so rewarding when it clicks."

McEntire amplified that thought. "I used to think being content was a no-no, because if you're content, you're not going to strive to continue to do better. That's not true because you always try to improve your health. As I tell artists on The Voice, and anybody that ever asks me for advice, I'll say, 'Enjoy every minute.'"

McEntire certainly is relishing every minute. As she said, "I love this chapter in my life. I'm very grateful."
