Rising country star Gavin Adcock has been arrested for reckless driving, leaving him in desperate need for a cigarette.

The New York Post confirmed that that the "A Cigarette" singer was arrested in Tennessee on May 21. He has also breached open container laws while driving recklessly. A combination an officer won't be happy to see one bit.
Gavin Adcock, known for his 2024 Actin' Up Again album, was taken into custody by Tennessee Highway Patrol in Oconee, per online jail records. This occured right in the middle of his tour. His next show is on the May 24.
I'm sure his fans will be happy to know that he's already out of custody, however. His bond was $1,000, a sum he must have paid off.
His arrest was very short-lived, as he was only in custody for about 5 hours. He didn't appear overly distressed about the situation, if his cheesy mugshot is anything to go by.
Now out and about and able to continue his tour, it appears that he doesn't care too much about being put on Johnny Law's naughty step for a while. He hasn't acknowledged the arrest on social media, and likely won't mention it at all.
This Ain't Gavin Adcock's First Time Behind Bars
Per Holler, Gavin Adcock has previously admitted to being arrested before.
In 2023, he posted to X about his previous trip to prison. "Went to jail one time because of a suspended license, sat in there for 10 hours and made friends with my cell mates," he said.
Apparently, a suspended license got him into lengthier trouble than reckless driving with a bottle in the backseat. Not judging, I just find it funny.
No details of his most recent arrest has been given. We don't know exactly how he was driving recklessly, but I'm thankful a stop was put to it before anyone got hurt. I know Gavin Adcock has a bit of a reputation for being a bit of a bad boy, but had someone got hurt, he would be known as the murdery boy, which isn't nearly as sexy.
Well... depends on who you ask, I guess.
