What's the easiest way to get away with not knowing the words to a song? You can't exactly just skip the song midway when you're committed. You especially can't do it when it's a massive hit either. People are counting on the big hits to be done just right. Artists in the past have tried rough skimming of the records or outright attempts at lip-syncing over the years. However, here's an alternative that Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn just pulled out: what if you just stopped pretending? What if you just forgo memorization entirely and read along?

This is more along the lines of professional karaoke more than anything. Your friends can go up on a stage and sing along on a screen or a piece of paper too. However, maybe there can be an excuse when it's not actually your song. This is something Ronnie Dunn found himself when opening up for the biggest country star in the world Morgan Wallen. Despite knowing so much music in his heyday, even he needed assistance.
Ronnie Dunn Reads The Lyrics While Performing Big Morgan Wallen Hit
Recently, Wallen and company made their stop for two shows in Miami, Florida. Miranda Lambert plays night one, Brooks & Dunn knocking out night #2, and Gavin Adcock doing both. In that second night, the duo come out to perform "Whiskey Glasses" with Wallen.
However, the catch is that Ronnie cannot remember the lyrics for the life of him. Consequently, he pulls out a sheet of paper and sings along accordingly with the audience. Apparently, Brooks had some issue following along too. Perhaps it's actually a bit with Brooks & Dunn, that the iconic duo is 'the problem' like Wallen is on the album. Maybe it can be a good bit for each concert. Bring out a special guest every once in a while and let them perform some country fried karaoke.
