Ryan Waters' track When It Don't is one my favorites from his new album All I've Ever Known, and WOC is proud and excited to debut it.

The Alabama native is releasing his album on January 17. Some tracks of the album have been released ahead of time here and there, however. "When It Don't" is a beautiful song about not knowing what it's like to have love go right, as all he knows is when it doesn't.

Ryan Waters told WOC about the track, and he spoke about his grandfather.
"My grandfather loved only one woman his entire life: my grandmother, who passed away in 1998. Not a day went by that he didn't speak of her, or how deeply he missed her. I remember him telling me, just before he passed, that he was "ready to see her again someday." A few months ago, he got that wish. Though I miss him dearly, I find comfort in knowing he's reunited with his one true love again—this time, for eternity.
The word "love" feels like it's taken for granted these days. We say it too easily, sometimes before the time is right, or in moments when it simply feels good. We wrote this song because, just as quickly as you can fall into love, you can fall out of it. It's a simple, yet complex message... I may not know what it feels like when everything is perfect, but I can tell you exactly what it feels like 'When It Don't.'
"When It Don't" is part of the incredible Everything I've Ever Known album, that speaks to his personal life.
Speaking on the album, Waters said, "As a kid, I spent countless hours riding in my dad's red-and-white Z-71—cruising down every dirt road in the county and singing along to every song on Country radio. Back then, I dreamed of recording an album of my own; now, years later, that dream has come true. This project is a deeply personal journey, and a reflection of the highs, lows, and unexpected twists that have shaped my life... It truly is "All I've Ever Known.""
