Scotty McCreery Announces Release Of 'Seasons Change: Platinum Edition' On Vinyl

Scotty McCreery is releasing a new version of one of his former albums. The American Idol alum announces the vinyl release of Seasons Change: Platinum Edition, out on June 20. The record includes bonus acoustic tracks of four songs, including "Five More Minutes," McCreery's first No. 1 hit.

"The Seasons Change album was truly life-changing for me," McCreery says of the record, first released in 2018. "After experiencing both some career highs and lows, I was starting over. For the first time, I co-wrote all the songs and felt like the project was truly me. It has been both gratifying and confidence-building to see how the fans, radio and streaming have embraced the music from this album and me.

"I'm a guy who loves to look back," he continues. "And I celebrate the release of this new expanded edition and all the accomplishments we've made since the original album came out, while also looking ahead to making new dreams come true."

Scotty McCreery's Success

McCreery won Season 10 of American Idol in 2011. He was signed to Mercury Nashville as part of his winning, but was later dropped from the label. Although challenging, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. McCreery, planning on releasing "Five More MInutes" on the label, decided to release it on his own instead.

The song became the first of six No. 1 singles for McCreery, including "Damn Strait" and his latest chart-topping song, "Cab In A Solo." In 2024, McCreery saw another dream come true, when he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. McCreery was invited to join by Garth Brooks.

McCreery was inducted by Josh Turner. He spoke about his son, Avery, when he was inducted.

 "One day I want to be able to look at Avery — he might not understand tonight — but one day  I'll tell him, 'Hey buddy, this was your daddy's dream, and it came true,'" McCreery said from stage. "So hopefully one day he'll go chase his dreams as well, because one day they could come true ... Thank you all so much. I love you and I'm so proud to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry."
