Shaboozey Says a Morgan Wallen Collab is on The Horizon

Shaboozey isn't going to let one song define him the rest of his career. He clearly has stronger motives for his career within Nashville. Surely, there's no way he'll escape "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" for as long as he performs. However, the country newcomer wants to prove that he has plenty more to offer. There's not many better ways to do that than collaborating with the biggest artist in country music right now.

Recently, Shaboozey spoke with Billboard after the GRAMMYs ceremony to talk about his future. After his massive hit song lasted 19 weeks at number one on the Hot 100, what's next? Apparently, we're going to see the hitmaker unite with fellow country superstar Morgan Wallen for a song in the future. "Stuff's comin', man, stuff's comin'," Shaboozey teases. "He shot me a text the other day and it's just good that he's doing good, taking care of himself, putting out some new music that I feel the world is excited about... and ready for."

In terms of a followup album, Shaboozey has everyone covered there too. Evidently, he's eager to share it with everyone when it's time. Moreover, he expresses that all the Grammy pageantry is merely extra reward for the direction he's heading. "I'm so excited about it [my upcoming music]. I feel like I'm now coming into my own," Shaboozey adds. "This [Grammy Awards] is just an extra treat on top of everything I've done so far in my career. I can't wait to keep it going."

The whiplash of his hit song simply being in the running for Song of the Year at the GRAMMYs is still surreal for him. All it does is simply remind him that he belongs. To figure out his voice and his creative mind so early, it encourages Shaboozey for the future. "Honestly, to be in the big four after just one year of really figuring out the type of music I wanted to make, the sound I wanted to get, the type of songs I wanted to write?" he says. "It's amazing and honestly I hope that I keep coming and this isn't just the only year I get to do this."
