Shania Twain Stars In Bizarre Super Bowl Commercial

Shania Twain has made some peculiar choices as of late. So hearing that she's starring as a dancing tongue in an upcoming Super Bowl commercial isn't really that surprising. But what did shock me, was that she'll be releasing a song about it.

The '90s star has teamed up with Coffee Mate to promote their Cold Foam Cream. Not only is her role in the Super Bowl ad a singing and dancing tongue, but the song she sings during the commercial will be fully released. Another game-day hit to add to the playlist, for sure.

Shania Twain spoke to PEOPLE about the ad and the song, where she had nothing but high praise. "There's so much involved with the tongue that a lot of people don't even realize, so it just made technical sense in a way, on a nerdy level," she said. A nerd myself, I can say there is nothing remotely "nerdy" about a CGI dancing tongue. It's not nerdy, it's an affront to God.

"But also, I think it is just very fun," she continued. "The fun of the cold foam and the dancing tongue was great."

You can check out the ad below. But don't say I didn't warn you.

Shania Twain Will Release "Gimme Cold Foam" On Feb 9

For those that love late-stage capitalism, you can add her new 'song' (that's basically just an advertisement dressed as a song) to your playlist when it drops on game day. It'll be called "Gimme Cold Foam," because this whole thing wasn't creatively bankrupt enough already.

If you don't want to watch that ad again, you can catch a snippet of the song on her Instagram.

"The song itself is so catchy and fun and boppy. It was just like the ultimate pop bop, and it felt like something I wanted to get into just for the fun of it. I had to get the feeling, get my tongue around it, I guess you could say," she said about the song.

Sure, Shania, sure.

I mean, she seems to be having a good time doing whatever she wants, so who am I to judge?
