Snoop Dogg performed at Trump's controversial 'Crypto Ball' event on Friday last week in Washington DC. According to American Songwriter, Trump wasn't at the event in person. However, attendees describe the Crypto Ball as a celebration of Trump's pro-cryptocurrency stance. Snoop was a headline act alongside Rick Ross and Soulja Boy.

Some fans were surprised to learn Snoop Dogg attended the event, and many took to social media to express their displeasure. As you may expect, Snoop seemed pretty unfazed by the backlash. The rapper appeared in a video alongside Ross in a sharp black suit with gold trim, sunglasses, and a black bow tie. "It's Crypto, you see. They let a real crip in the Crypto Ball, bang bang." Snoop said. He then smiles and makes a peace sign at the camera.

Fans Point Out Snoop Doog Has Changed His Political Stance

While the legendary rapper seems to be taking everything in his stride as usual, many on social media note a massive chance in his politics. One clip that is doing the rounds right now is from 2017, where Snoop addresses the camera and asks, "So ain't nobody going to perform for Donald Trump, huh?" He then asks which "Uncle Tom" will be the first to do it and that he will "Roast the **** out of them."

Many are reposting other clips showing Snoops's previous anti-Trump stance. Others call him a sell-out, suggesting he will do anything for a paycheck. X User @Jayy4Threee writes, 'I'm praying it's just for the check. Cuz this is weird after all he said.' @riveramichael13 shares a similar sentiment. 'Look what money does to you folks; we're witnessing it in real-time.'

Others on social media are less bothered by Snoop's decision to perform at the Crypto Ball. @MrHatr says, 'They made the right choice.' Another user, @1jah_son, points out that he likely got paid very well for his appearance. "Crypto Ball is going to be more paper than the average concert. I promise you MLK himself woulda taken the bread and done something positive with it."

Snoop was recently praised for using his clothing company, Snoop Dogg's Clothing, to help those displaced by the LA fires.
