At this point, anyone can run for U.S. president. Why not? We probably should've prepared ourselves for this possibility when Arnold Schwarzenegger was sincerely the governor of California. If the Terminator and Conan the Barbarian actor can finagle his way into these roles, why can't any other celebrity? At least for someone like Stephen A. Smith, he has sincere experience in the debating world. So maybe he can really jab back and forth against those with real political experience.

But this all seems like one big joke right? I mean sure, Ronald Reagan, ol' Arnold, Donald Trump, they all made their ways in. But like, c'mon, this can't be the expectation, right? When Stephen A. teased it initially, it just seemed like good press. It makes for good buzz right? It incentivizes people to tune into ESPN First Take surely. However, it seems as though he's really taking the prospect of running for president seriously.

Recently, Stephen A. indulged in some of the speculation around his interest about running for U.S. president. Apparently, he's not ruling out the possibility at all, especially with people egging him on behind the scenes. "Over the last few weeks, I've had no choice but to get more serious about it. I've been approached by people on Capitol Hill. I've been approached by people who are elected officials in office, whether it's governors or mayors or what have you. People have legitimately, seriously, asked me about it," Stephen A. says.
"I have no desire to be a politician, but I've decided that I'm no longer going to close that door. I'm gonna keep my options open. I'm going to entertain the possibility. If it comes in late 2026, 2027, where I look at this country and think it's an absolute mess and there's legitimate reason to believe... that I indeed have a legitimate shot to win the presidency of the United States. I am not going to rule it out," Stephen A. adds.
What the hell, sure. We're already the world's favorite reality tv drama. Go for it.
