The dancer will release her memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, on February 4. In it, Holker will delve into her relationship with tWitch Boss, who committed suicide in 2022.

Holker sat down with People to share a story of Boss' apparent problem with drugs that she only discovered after his death in a promotion for the memoir. Naturally, not many like the way Holker is putting her late husband on blast on the internet.

When posting a snippet of her interview with People on her Instagram, people yelled at her for capitalizing on the pain and suffering of tWtich Boss.

Although Holker has said many times that she is sharing the devastating story of her husband to encourage others to seek out treatment for and talk about mental health, not many are buying it. Most believe it's a "flimsy guise" to bank extra money and fame from her husband.

Allison Holker Replies To Critics After They Slam Her Memoir

A fellow dancer, Kelly Gibson, commented under the post, saying, "This whole thing made me sad. He's gone. Why tear apart this name? I was fully supportive about you moving [on] and being happy but this@paycheck was not worth disgracing his name."

Although Holker has received lots of other criticism, she decided to respond to this one. "I'll always love you. Just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support," she wrote, alluding to her altruistic angle.

Also in an indirect response, Holker has decided to share positive messages written by fans and friends to her Instagram story.

"The fact that people are tearing [Holker] down, especially people that were supposed to be in her corner (former colleagues, friends, some of her late husbands family) when she has slowly started to work out the events of the last two years, and is hoping to share her story to HELP OTHERS is wild," one fan wrote, whose message was promptly shared to Holker's story.

Despite the constant criticism toward Holker's memoir, she's sticking by it. She has doubled down that she's trying to spread awareness and encourage others to help before it's too late.
