You almost have to admire just how maniacally devout Swifties can be over their favorite artist. They will battle it out with anyone, from the smallest detractors on Twitter to the biggest of celebrities. If it even remotely registers as shade, the stan army comes out in full force. This is especially the case for an already controversial Morgan Wallen, someone who can't help but make people upset at this rate. Now, he's inciting the wrath of Taylor Swift's fanbase with his latest announcements.

Recently, he announced his lofty, ambitious plans for 2025 with a new album and tour. The latter kicks off in June, letting us know we're getting Morgan Wallen's long awaited followup to One Thing At A Time beforehand. Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett are just a few of the various guests he's bringing with him. Both the album and the tour are named I'm The Problem. Already, it seems a bit tacky and lame. Sure, it's sly self awareness to his terrible romances and drinking problems. But it's just not what I expect to read from a dude either. However, the Swifties are mad at Morgan for an entirely different reason. They think he's stealing from Taylor.
Morgan Wallen Incites The Wrath of The Swifties
For the uninitiated, Taylor Swift has a big hit song titled "Anti-Hero" back in 2023. On the song's anthemic hook, she chants, "It's me, Hi! I'm the problem, it's me!" Obviously, since she said it, she now owns the phrase, no copyrights necessary. Consequently, Morgan Wallen naming his new album and tour I'm The Problem suggests he's trying to steal Taylor's flavor.
I know, sounds ridiculous right? But there are select Swifties genuinely coming after Morgan for co-opting the phrase. One person argues that Wallen isn't trying very hard to do something original. "It's so odd that Wallen names a tour after a MEGA HIT by Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero). 'It's me. Hi. I'M THE PROBLEM. It's me.' It won every award on earth for a song and video. Lazy, lazy Wallen," they tweet.
