Taylor Sheridan Gives Blank Response After Michelle Randolph Thanks Him for 'Dream' Roles

One thing I can always appreciate about Taylor Sheridan is that he always casts a curveball actor/actress. People can expect for most films and TV shows to shoot for the stars in their casting. If the budget allows it, why wouldn't you want a big star? A big name alone will sell the merits of what they're working on at the time. However, it takes real stones to cast an unknown or someone you haven't seen in a while. Sure, Sheridan could try and throw a cartoonish amount of money at an A-lister. But what if he offers that same role to... Billy Bob Thornton?

Immediately, I'm going to want to know what Sheridan has up his sleeve for his next project. For a lot of people, he clearly hasn't missed yet. Landman made enough bank to land him another season. 1923 seems to be going swimmingly for Taylor and company. Someone who's reaping the rewards of that success is Michelle Randolph, a relative unknown before locking in with the Yellowstone creator.

Michelle Randolph Feverishly Thanks Taylor Sheridan for Casting Her in 'Dream' Roles

Recently, Randolph spoke with PEOPLE to discuss her big role as Elizabeth Dutton in 1923. There, she stresses that she owes the show runner the world for taking a swing on her talents. "Honestly, Taylor Sheridan takes chances on actors, and he's one of the few people I feel like in the industry who really does that and has given us this opportunity," Randolph emphasizes. "And I just am eternally grateful for him. He made my dreams come true. I tell him that every time I see him."

However, as much as she wants to thank him over and over for the chances, Sheridan mostly shrugs it off. He acts like it's not that big of a deal according to Randolph. "He's like, 'Michelle, stop. I get it.' I'm like, 'Thank you.' But he really did give us something," she says.
