A 19-year-old teen named Nicholas Prosper killed his mother, brother, and sister back in September 2024 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. Prosper pleaded guilty to all murders on Monday, February 24, 2025. He also admitted to planning to commit a violent school massacre with a fully loaded shotgun.

According to the BBC, in September last year, officers arrived at a residence in Leabank early in the morning. Previously, neighbors reported disturbances at the Prosper residence. Shockingly, authorities found the dead bodies of Juliana Falcon, 48, Kyle Proser, 16, and Giselle Prosper, 13. All three of them died from gunshot wounds to the head.
Following the deadly shooting, police officers stopped and apprehended Nicholas Prosper. They found the lethal weapon, a shotgun, hidden in nearby bushes. According to the Daily Mail, alongside the shotgun, officers also found more than 30 cartridges of ammunition. Prosper purchased said shotgun, a 12-ball Nikko, without a certificate only a day before he brutally murdered his family.
Later, authorities would learn that Prosper intended to cause further harm by carrying out a mass school shooting, targeting St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Luton.
Nicholas Prosper pleaded guilty to the three murders. Additionally, he pleaded guilty to purchasing or acquiring a shotgun without a certificate, possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possessing an article with a blade or point, according to the BBC. Prosper will be sentenced on March 5.
Community Shaken
Authorities and school officials were shocked after learning of Prosper's murders and intent to carry out a mass shooting. Det Chief Ins Sam Khanna stated that Prosper's case was "truly tragic and shocking."
"No words can fully describe the tragedy their loved ones have experienced, and our thoughts continue to be with them at this difficult time," Khanna said. "We are pleased that Prosper has pleaded guilty and will not put his family through the pain of a trial, and that he will soon face a significant jail sentence."
Kyle Prosper's school was "deeply saddened" by his death. "This is devastating news to all those who knew and loved Kyle and it will take some time to come to terms with the profound sense of loss," the school said. Similarly, Giselle's secondary school's head teacher said: "Giselle was a beautiful soul and a model pupil."
