Photo of Texas Dad Walking Daughter to Her Last Day of School Goes Viral

13 years after walking his daughter to her first day of school, this Texas dad's recreation of the special moment is going viral.

18-year-old Brittany lives in the small town of Alvord, Texas. Her father, Jason, was recently digging through a pile of old photos when he found something special. It was an image taken from Brittany's first day of school. With her last day of high school rapidly approaching, Jason was inspired to do something special.

The two recreated the photo of Brittany and Jason's walk to her first day of school, 13 years later. Needless to say, the result is pretty adorable.

38-year-old Jason told Buzzfeed that he was "holding back tears" during his walk alongside his daughter.

"It brings me great joy if we were able to help people think back to that time, even if just for a brief moment, and smile," Jason recently told Today. "I can hope one day when I'm old I can look back at this and smile!"

At the end of the summer, Brittany will start classes at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas. But you can bet she won't forget her last day of high school any time soon.
