A teenager allegedly poured Clorox bleach into some milk in an attempt to poison his adoptive mother. The kid didn't want to live with her anymore in her Florida home and resorted to an extreme measure.

The elderly mother, whose identity is anonymous, had poured herself a glass of milk on the morning of April 19, she told Volusia County police, per WESH. Upon taking a sip of her drink, however, she found it had an "intense chemical taste."
"He put the Clorox in the milk," the mother told the police, perplexed.
It's unknown what happened between the mother tasting bleach in her glass of milk and the police arriving, but we know that her other son called 911.
Bodycam footage of the event showcase the afflicted mother and other son telling the police what happened. The treasonous teen's identity and history is unknown, so we don't know how long the kid was adopted by the mother for.
As the mother told police what had happened, the teen was hiding upstairs.
"You poured it into your glass and had some — how much do you think you had?" a deputy asked.
"I think I had a little bit, and I tasted it," she answered. Consuming bleach, even a small amount, can be very dangerous for the body.
Teen Tried To Poison Adoptive Mother Because He Didn't Want To Live With Her Anymore
The deputy confirmed that the milk stank of bleach. When apprehended, the teen confessed to what he did.
He admitted that he wished to make his adoptive mom sick because he was upset with her and didn't want to live with her anymore. The kid was arrested and charged with poisoning food or water, attempted felony murder, and aggravated abuse of an elderly person, per an affidavit according to The New York Post.
Despite ingesting a small amount of the tainted milk, she reported no symptoms. She still did request a medical evaluation, to stay on the safe side.
The mother will likely be fine and will suffer no adverse effects. The fate of the adopted teen is unclear, however. He was arrested and charged, but his fate remains in the works.
