The Country Singer Luke Bryan Says Can Outdrink Him

Luke Bryan says that one country star can drink him under the table. And that's coming from the man who has a song called "One Margarita".

Country music is pretty clearly linked with drinking culture. After all, there's not much better than a nice cold beer or a whiskey alongside some good music, right?

And we sure know country music singers love to drink. Well, if their music is anything to go by, at least. Take Luke Bryan for an example. He literally has a song called "One Margarita", all about getting a bit more than tipsy.

"One margarita / Two margarita / Three margarita, shot! / Don't worry 'bout tomorrow / Leave all your sorrow out on the floatin' dock!"

But, even with these three margs and a shot to top it, he doesn't think he's at the top of the pecking order for tolerance. In an episode of the Taste of Country Nights podcast, Luke Bryan explained he thinks he can be bested by none other than Jason Aldean.

He explained, "Well, his fans need to know that if you're with Jason, he doesn't drink margaritas, he just shoots tequila, and that's a problem." Just straight shooting tequila? I don't think I could handle that!

He added, "So I just learned to do the... I do the old throw the tequila behind [my shoulder]... I don't know, he's got a tequila tank in there somewhere that he can hide it in."

Luke Bryan is Set To Release A New Album Soon

And it's looking good. According to Country Central, he announced the new album during the American Idol finale on Tuesday, May 12.

He revealed that the album, named Signs, is set to release on September 18. In order to mark the landmark announcement, he performed the lead song, and it has a pretty iconic name. He belted out "Fish Hunt Golf Drink", and pre-released it everywhere, alongside two other tracks that have already been released.

Luke Bryan released "Word On The Street" in February, and "Country And She Knows It" at the end of March. We wonder if there'll be any alcohol-related tracks?

He explained, "It is always a great day when I get the chance to release new music. I've been working on this album for the past year, and I just love how it turned out. I was able to co-write a few, then turn to the writers in Nashville to round them out."

We can't wait to hear the full thing!
