Ella Langley has made a name for herself in country music at the tender age of just 26. She had a huge night recently at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, landing five of the coveted honors. Her super popular duet with Riley Green, "You Look Like You Love Me," has been a runaway smash hit. Everything Langley touches lately turns to gold. She is on track to be the next member of country music royalty. The talented singer had yet another major thrill at the ACMs not long ago. Per Whiskey Riff, "...{T}he awards show was filled with other 'I've made it' moments. Langley even said herself that there was 'a ridiculous amount of highlights of that whole entire week.'" One of them involved Miranda "The House That Built Me" Lambert.

Ella Langley Was Elated To Duet With Miranda Lambert
Per the outlet via People, Langley said that doing "Kerosene" with Lambert was a very big deal for her. She humbly shared, "But performing 'Kerosene,' I already knew that I was going to do 'Weren't for the Wind' but when we got asked to do 'Kerosene,' God, I was like, 'It just made the night so much better for me because I got that initial fear out' — and that was our first time performing together. It felt like a 12-year-old kid living her biggest dream ever on stage."
Langley looks up to Lambert for reasons in addition to her immense skill as a vocalist. Lambert, Langley's mentor, has succeeded in a largely male-dominated industry and has always been true to herself along the way.
Langley Is Following In Lambert's Footsteps By Disturbing The Status Quo
You could say that Langley is disrupting the equilibrium of country music too. The throwback spoken word style of "You Look Like You Love Me" is, as the outlet points out, a nostalgic return to the bygone era of David Allen Coe and Conway Twitty. Also, again similarly to Lambert, Langley is doing something with a humanitarian angle to benefit dogs in need.
These two strong, confident, outstanding women are a credit to themselves and to the country music scene. It's great to see them singing together.
