Usually, most people tend to avoid big controversies like the plague. Nothing good comes from magnifying a bad situation. Oftentimes, it'll usually come back to bite you. However, maybe if enough time passes, you can totally revisit the crime scene so to speak. That seems to be the case for Eric Church; he's looking at Morgan Wallen's drunken chair throw off of his bar Chief's balcony as a killer endorsement of his drinks.

Recently, a TikTok surfaced, spotlighting Church's latest drink on full display. It's called 'The Chair,' made with Smirnoff raspberry vodka, raspberry liqueur, lemonade, and a splash of soda. Even as someone who doesn't drink, that sounds pretty great. However, Eric and his bar takes the Morgan Wallen gimmick to the next level. Some cocktails might have an umbrella or some type of accessory as a design to the drink. They're stuffing a foldout chair on the rim of the beverage, right next to the straw. Hopefully, if you get too plastered, you can chuck those mini chairs out instead of an actual one.
Eric Church Uses Morgan Wallen's Drunken Chair Throw As a Marketing Ploy
This could've risked being incredibly tacky and lame for Eric. Worst case, you have people bent out of shape. However, it definitely helps that people are definitely going to want to try the drink. On one hand, it just sounds delicious. On the other, regulars are absolutely going to try and see if enough of those cocktails can get you as drunk as Morgan Wallen was that night.
Some people, though, don't find the humor in Wallen's actions like Eric Church does. In addition to his laundry list of other controversies, these incidents made Wallen's grand opening for his own bar go awry. The Nashville Metro Council stopped the country superstar from putting his name on his bar back in May 2024. "I don't want to see a billboard up with the name of a person who's throwing chairs off of balconies and who is saying racial slurs," one member states at the time.
