Luke Bryan loves to be outdoors. The Georgia native is opening up about his favorite hobby, and how it could be detrimental to his performances.

"Nothing is worse than being out there and not being able to sing ... One thing too is, I started playing a lot of golf," Bryan shares on The Bobby Bones Show. "I think that's not helping. Because they're out there cutting grass and mowing."
Bryan also enjoys fishing, which he admits is also not a healthy hobby for him either.
"I'm allergic to fish," Bryan reveals, adding that his allergy is if he touches them, not eats them. "So if I go fishing, I take an Allegra. It's like, 'All right, now I can go fish.' But I got bad allergies. I'm on Singulair every day. So that's what sucks too. I want the fans to know, I'm not out raking a hay barn. When I start feeling it coming on, I'm going to the doctor."
Unfortunately, dealing with allergies is nothing new for Bryan. Still, it's only recently that his allergies have had such a negative impact on his performances.
"I was the kid that, I was drinking the pink stuff ...I was always snotty-nosed," the 48-year-old recalls. "I had childhood asthma as a kid, and I never had it really come back and flare up until the first of August, to where I had to move some shows, and there's about three shows I probably should have moved, if you want to go look at those Instagram comments."
Luke Bryan on American Idol
Bryan will embark on his Country Song Came On Tour in May. Fortunately, one of his current jobs right now is indoors: serving as a judge on American Idol. In addition to Lionel Richie, Bryan is also joined by fellow country music superstar Carrie Underwood this season, who Bryan says is the perfect addition to the show.
"It's going great," Bryan boasts to Extra. "Carrie and I had always been in the business together, but we never spent much time together. So to sit behind the desk and watch her really learn how to transition out of being the winner of American Idol and a superstar to being the judge at the table ... she's doing good."
American Idol airs on Sunday nights at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
