The Most Popular Beer In America Revealed And Its No Shock

Once upon a time, before their great fall from power, Budweiser was the most popular beer in America. But since their various controversies, that throne has been up for grabs, and it's no surprise who managed to take the coveted seat.

Of late, many interesting beers have been rising in the ranks of most popular US American beer. Guinness has had a huge revival as the youth choose the low alcohol stout. Blue Moon, the flavorful but remarkably strong for the US palet, Belgian beer, has shown its head as a contender too.

But, the most popular beer in America, according to a study by Coffeeness, is Miller. It's hardly a surprise. According to their study, Miller was the most searched, and most drunk beer in the country. Their study took into consideration both YouGov studies and looked at state-by-state search terms.

The study by the coffee company broke down their results state by state. From Washington all the way across the country to Maine, Miller is the most popular beer in America. However, there were some outliers dotted about.

It appears that the West isn't as besotted by Miller as the rest of the country. In fact, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas all prefer to suck down a Coors instead. Whether that's because it's a better drink in the heat, or just because it's available cheaper, is anyone's guess.

Miller is the most popular beer in an impressive 60% of America. But, they don't dominate everywhere. There are some interesting results, too. Blue Moon, the Belgian weisbeer, is actually the favorite of the folks in Colorado. They're the only ones though, and may be solely responsible for it hitting YouGovs 5th most enjoyed American beer.

Bud Light and Budweiser still hold a few seats also, with Missouri and New Hampshire preferring the latter, and North Carolina and Ohio preferring the lite version. There's no accounting for taste, I guess.

It's nice to see a drink like Blue Moon featured on the list. It's the only one in there with any flavor, and the only one with a percentage worth paying attention to.
