The Outrageous Price A Dad Of 5 Paid For One Day At Disney World

Disney has always been a gross, greedy company, but the reality of it today goes beyond the pale. A dad has shared the staggering cost of his family of five's trip to Disney World Orlando, and it's disgusting.

The trip the father planned was only a one day excursion to Disney World Orlando. Himself, and his family members, with one under ten, documented just how much it cost. The total ran to a remarkable $1,400. This was cheap according to some people in the comments, with one person claiming they spent $4,300 with less people.

Despite Disney being worth more than $166 billion, they still find a way to take money from the public hand over fist. But, that's on us really. A boycott would be so easy, but instead, like this dad, we continue to pour money into their pockets.

Breaking Down The Price Of Disney World

Before the dad had even got through the gates of Disney World he had to pay $30 for parking. You would think the tickets would cover that. To get into the resort, a day pass for himself and the four others came to a staggering $974.

While they were buying tickets, the option to pay for a fast pass was also available. This would have set them back another $35 per person. The pass would have given them quick access to only 3 of the Disney World rides, so they chose not to do it.

The day was hot, and kids need to hydrate. Two waters and three ice creams added another $29.50 to the total bill, and they had hardly even started the day. Dad needed to take the edge off after the first ride, and a small beer and pretzel came to $19.

Lunch, which consisted of a dry-looking small pizza each and a few sides and drinks came to $44.35. The Blue Milk they had for dessert added another $10.25 to their lunchtime bill. The rest of the day's drinks and food came to a total of $287.50.

Of course, the kids had a wonderful time, but that kind of spending is going to hurt. It's a shame that Disney World is so willing to bleed its fans dry. They have turned their theme park into something reserved for only rich kids, denying anyone with a medium to low income the chance to visit. It's fun for the elite.
