We now have the real reason why both FBI spin-offs, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International were cancelled by CBS. And the reason is as typical as it is boring.

Short answer: the popular FBI spin-off shows were canceled because of money, the same reason everything gets canceled these days.
Now, here's the long answer.
It was revealed in March that FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International were cancelled by CBS. But no reason was given for the sudden axing of the two popular shows.
FBI itself is in its seventh season, but FBI: Most Wanted won't be receiving a seventh season, and FBI: International won't be receiving a fifth. This may have come as a shock to fans.
The Dick Wolf franchise has been going strong since 2018, so why is the plug getting pulled?
Amy Reisenbach, the president of CBS Entertainment, per Deadline, spoke to reporters to shed light on the issue.
"It's not easy to end shows and we had a lot of options this year," she said. "The schedule is really full and so we always have to look at all of our shows, look at the aggregate information, the creative of where they are in their life cycle, what the finances look like, what the ratings are, and then we make those tough decisions."
In other words, they're asking which shows are the most profitable.
'FBI' Spinoffs Axed Due To Financial Reasons
"We have to be fiscally responsible and ultimately, those deals and the shows just weren't penciling out for us from an economic perspective," she finished.
It does strike me as odd that FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International are getting cancelled due to fiscal reasons when the shows were apparently doing well. They were both given a shout-out, per the outlet, by Reisenbach when touting which shows were performing for the network.
Despite their success, they're still being cancelled. At least FBI is still on the menu. And Dick Wolf isn't going completely without, as his new series CIA starring Tom Ellis is coming to the network soon.
I guess it's 'case closed' for these shows.
