Queen Latifah recently made a heartfelt post to fans of The Equalizer, confirming that the show was being canceled. But, there was no shock or bitterness, and she reassured fans that she would be back on screen again.

On her social media, the star of The Equalizer thanked not only her fans but also the people involved in making the show happen. It sounds like she had a blast making it, and honestly, she was the main draw for the show. Her high-octane antics were great to see.

However, it didn't make the cut for season 6. Before season five was even over, it was announced that this was going to be the last. This wasn't a surprise for the crew, and they had already been gearing season 5 of The Equalizer towards a finale.

The cancelation comes amid falling viewership. They have dropped from an eight million weekly viewership down to only five. Although the show pulled in okay ratings for the latest season, CBS needed to make budget cuts. The Equalizer was on the fat-trimming list.

What's Next For The Equalizer Star Queen Latifah?

Now the high energy action of The Equalizer is over for Queen Latifah, she has a bit of space to work on some new projects. She was quick to reassure people in her Instagram post that she will be back to the screen in all her fast-paced form too.

"And don't worry—I'll be back kicking ass in something new real soon. Can't wait to share it with you," she told fans. But, so far, any news of her next show is under wraps. She has Ice Age 6 in the works, but that certainly isn't action-packed. There is also a Master P biopic, but that's not it either.

She is also doing a sequel to Girls Trip. But I can hardly see that as being described as "Kicking A--."

I guess we will have to wait and see what comes next for Queen Latifah. Either way, it seems like her work in The Equalizer has whetted her appetite for action.
