The Surprising Cover That Tim McGraw's Daughter Chose For Debut

Talent runs in Tim McGraw's family. The father of three has supported each of his daughters, whom he shares with his wife, Faith Hill, in various creative endeavors. So it's no wonder that Tim is excited as his youngest daughter, Audrey, prepares to release her first single, even if it definitely isn't country.

Audrey reveals on social media that her first single, out on Friday, May 16, is a cover of a Neil Diamond classic, "I Am ... I Said."

"The first time I heard this song, I felt something deep in my soul," Audrey writes. "One late night, sitting at the piano, I made it a part of me. In the studio we brought it to life."

Audrey might be a talented singer, but she's also a blossoming actress. She starred in her dad's music video for "7500 OBO" and also appeared in the Paramount+ TV series, Landman.

Tim has performed with Audrey in the past, including on a cover of Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man." The 58-year-old has been a country music superstar for more than 30 years, even if he says he is the least talented in his family.

"I don't know if they want to sing with Dad," Tim admits. "I'm the worst singer in the family. All of my girls can sing, and of course, Faith is one of the greatest singers in the world. So, I'm the low man on the totem pole. So, I think they'd rather sing with their mom than they would me. I always say singing with Faith's like a NASCAR trying to keep up with a Formula One race car because she's so damn good."

Perhaps surprisingly, Tim reveals that Audrey, along with her sisters, Gracie and Maggie, have actually turned him down.

"I'd love to do a song with all five of us at some point," Tim tells Entertainment Tonight. "I talk about it all the time, and they're like, 'I'm not singing with you, Dad.' They'll sing with Mom. I'm probably not on par with the rest of them. I'm the worst singer in the family."
