Case Of The Munchies: Snoop Dogg Reveals Favorite Late Night Snack

When discussing late night snacks I feel like most people gravitate towards sweet things. Cookies, candies and all the things that are not good for us are what our minds tell us we crave. Ironic since sugar is horrible for our teeth and is high in glucose, which we do not need right before bed.
However, it turns out that Snoop Dogg and I have something in common. When it comes to our favorite late night snack, neither of us has a sweet tooth. For me, it is all about the salt and for some reason the protein. When I get the tummy grumblings in the late night I am hungry hungry. That is when I will go for something like jerky or deli meat wrapped with some cheese. Give me all the sodium. Again, probably not the best thing before bedtime, but then again what is....celery???? Who wants plain celery as a late night snack?
Anyway, The Voice coach also likes a salty and protein-packed snack in the evening. Snoop Dogg revealed to NBC that his favorite late night snack is a hard-boiled egg. Not what you were expecting right? Me either, but that is mostly because when I think of a snack I think of something that doesn't require cooking. Granted hard boiled eggs are not the hardest thing to make but still, it requires a bit more effort than I want to put in during the wee hours of the evening.
If he wants to get fancy with it, the star admits that he adds a piece of to his snack. Apparently, the meal reminds him of his childhood and brings a sense of nostalgia. He shares, "I put an egg in the middle of the toast like the elementary school breakfast they used to give." Next he added, "We couldn't wait to get to school to get that hard-boiled egg and put it in the toast. A beautiful thing."

He has a plethora of egg recipes in his cookbooks...yes Snoop Dogg has cookbooks. NBC shares that his first published cookbook, From Crook to Cook, he features recipes like "Mile-High Omelet" and "Ashford and Simpson Eggs."
Additionally, in is cookbook, Goon with the Spoon, he shares a recipe for "Turkey Sausage Scotch Eggs." Apparently it is a slightly healthier variation of the Scotch eggs version. No wonder this star is besties with Martha Stewart, the pair both seem to love cooking. Although I have a feeling her favorite late night snack is not hard-boiled eggs.
