'The Voice' Has Its Season 26 Winner But Not Everyone Is Happy

Season 26 of The Voice finally has its winner announced, but amid claims of rigging and fixing, the audience isn't overjoyed with the result.

Of course, everyone will always have their favorite. When they get voted out, or don't make it, it's going to cause some upset. However, this year, people are significantly more put out than usual. Whether it was the new format, or simply the results, the audience wasn't happy.

Team Buble has taken the win with Sofronio Vasquez storming the finale with his Greatest Showman performance. I have to agree with the disappointed sentiment. I found his performance to be underwhelming, to say the least. Good singer? Sure. Winner of The Voice? Nah.

One commenter on X sums up my thoughts exactly. "1st of all, too many fake people that think that he won. He wasn't the best voice or singer. People felt sorry for him because his dad died! The last 2 shows his voice cracked, and he couldn't hit a high note to save his life! At best 3rd place! Only American Idol produces stars!" His performance has been off for a while, and there were some much more consistent singers out there.

'The Voice' Winner Is A Controversial Choice

There will always be disagreements when it comes to the winner of The Voice. But, this year there have been plenty of people claiming it's fixed also. Many favorites were wiped from the competition, leaving people wondering if maybe it was all decided at the beginning.

"What a shocker LOL, They used him for weeks to advertise the new season before it even began and sneak peaked his blind audition on YouTube," one X user points out. They believe that he was picked as the winner of The Voice from way early on.

But, of course, there is still a lot of support for Sofronio Vasquez. There are plenty of Philipino viewers out there who are delighted to see someone from their country take the award. A bit of variety and representation goes a long way, and Sofronio Vasquez has done it for them.

Either way, like it or not, The Voice Season 26 has come to a close, and the winner has been announced. It'll be back before you know it, with a fresh lineup of hopefuls. It's just a shame Snoop won't be there anymore.
