Thomas Rhett Reveals His Favorite Part Of His Job, And It Isn't Singing

Thomas Rhett has had a lot of success as an artist. Rhett has spent the last more than a dozen years racking up hit after hit at country radio, not to mention headlining successful tours. So it's a bit surprising that Rhett reveals the favorite part of his job isn't actually singing. Instead, it's something much more altruistic.

"I feel like this year and last year I've gotten to know so many of the newer artists in our format. They all just happen to be a decade younger than me," Rhett tells Audacy. "That's been kind of the biggest joy of my life right now. I still love playing shows and love writing. But when younger artists do come to me and ask me for any, not even just show advice, but 'How do I have a family and do this?' Or 'How do I have kids and do this?'

"That's gonna become one of my favorite parts of being in this business right now," the father of four adds. "Just sort of being a guy that's done it for 14 years. And, made all the wrong decisions and some of the right ones. Being able to lead people in a direction where they can hopefully not do the same things bad that I did."

Thomas Rhett Celebrates His Biggest Career Highlight

Rhett might get a lot of joy out of helping the next generation of artists, but he did just celebrate a career highlight of his own. The 35-year-old just sold out Boston's iconic Fenway Park, a dream come true for Rhett.

"It was surreal. I've had a couple bucket list things, and this was one of them. It took me a while to come down from the high of Fenway," Rhett says on Country Countdown USA. He also reveals that 35,000 people bought tickets, making it a sold-out show.

"It was just a dream," he adds.

Rhett is also still enjoying his own success at radio as well. He has the No. 1 song in the country, for the second week in a row, with "After All The Bars Are Closed." The song is from his latest  About A Woman album.
