Gaytan and LiconGomez are both 27 years old. Lopez is 21. If the trio is convicted of their current charges, once a trial has been held, then they will face life imprisonment without the chance of parole.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman made a statement regarding the arrests during a Nov. 27 press release.
"This was a ruthless and targeted attack that stole the life of a young woman and artist and inflicted profound lifelong trauma on her family and the two survivors," Hochman said in a statement. "My office will pursue this case aggressively to ensure those responsible are held fully accountable for this senseless and deadly violence."
Delarosa, 22, was attacked in the Northridge area of Los Angeles on Saturday, Nov. 22, around 1.25 am local time. As a young music artist, she was only just starting to break into the industry. She boasted a growing but also modest 40,000 Instagram followers.
Nevertheless, the tragic loss of Delarosa will undoubtedly have sent shockwaves throughout the Latin music community. After all, she had a bright future and was far too young to be taken.
The LAPD Recently Released a Statement Regarding Delarosa's Shooting
On Monday, Nov. 24, before the trio of suspects had been arrested, the LAPD released a statement about the incident that took Delarosa's life.
'Witnesses described seeing two male suspects approach a vehicle that was parked on Bryant Street,' the statement said. "Multiple rounds were fired at several victims who were parked in the area in their vehicle."
According to reports, there were three people in Delarosa's car, with the other two victims in critical condition.
Currently, no information has been released regarding the eventual trial for Gaytan, LiconGomez and Lopez. Still, once that trial begins, Delarosa's friends, family and fans can all start to get some closure.
