Back in the day, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were a major power couple in country music. They were married from 2011 to 2015. They eventually split and went their separate romantic ways. He is now Gwen Stefani's spouse. Lambert tied the knot with Brendan McLoughlin.

In 2012, however, the two were still wed to each other. That fact seemed to escape the attention of comedian Tim Allen, though. At the 2012 CMA Awards, he made a regrettably Flirty comment about Lambert to, of all people, Blake Shelton. Whoops!
Allen Said Something He Probably Wished He Could Retract
Picture this. It's the CMA Awards, and Allen is seated behind Blake Shelton in the audience. According to nickiswift.com via The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Allen could evidently not see over the towering singer, who is 6-foot-5. That was just the beginning of things going downhill. Enter Lambert, and the stage was set for a big (albeit inadvertent) mess-up on Allen's part.
Here's Where Things Got Tricky
Allen shared, "A woman comes up, and you probably know this, and everybody else knows it, but I didn't know this... Miranda Lambert. So she's up there rocking out with the crazy one, some song about her being nuts and tattoos and booze. I was like, 'I love this woman,' and [Shelton] turns around and says 'Boy, I'd love to tap that,' and I said 'Me too!' And then I get that look. And he goes, 'That's my wife!' And like a comic, I said, 'Let me finish...' So yeah, we haven't spoken since... but she's really good." (Allen was married at the time, and he still is.)
Allen honored Blake Shelton with the Entertainer of the Year Award during the ceremony. Wonder if they said anything to each other? Per the outlet, "Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert don't appear to have spoken about the Tim Allen incident publicly...." Perhaps their reactions were best kept to themselves.
What Is Allen Doing Now?
After his popular role on Home Improvement (1991-1999), Allen, 72, went on to star on Last Man Standing (2011-2021). He is now on Shifting Gears. In addition to being on these three sitcoms, Allen has had many roles in films like Toy Story (he voiced Buzz Lightyear), The Shaggy Dog, and Galaxy Quest.
