But for McGraw, there is one moment that will forever be his favorite, and it happened in 2015.

"I've been so fortunate to be able to do a lot of cool things, you, movies and TV shows," McGraw says. "Probably the Oscars, the first time  Faith was performing on the Oscars, then getting to perform the Glen Campbell song from the documentary on the Oscars was a big highlight."

The documentary is Glen Campbell... I'll Be Me, detailing Campbell's musical career and his battle with Alzheimer's. "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" is on Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me, released two years before Campbell passed away.

"[It's] probably the most nervous I've ever been in my life, on that stage by myself," McGraw admits. "Looking out and seeing all those movie stars, and having to sing that song for Glen Campbell and his family was pretty nerve-racking. But it was also a highlight."

Tim McGraw's Health Challenges in 2025

McGraw is learning how to rest in 2025, after overcoming numerous health challenges. The Louisiana native underwent multiple surgeries, requiring him to spend an extended period of time off the road to recover.

"The worst part for me is I'm terrible at sitting still. ... During the tour, the back started going cattywampus on me," McGraw admits on Audacy. "And in about three weeks in the tour, my knees went out. So I had to do the whole tour with my knee shot, my back shot."

McGraw can withstand a lot of physical pain, but the 58-year-old admits mentally, it was a challenge.

"That was the worst part was mentally," he says, adding that his doctors tried to warn him.

"Everybody that gets these things, there's a depression that happens," he adds.

Fortunately, McGraw's music career isn't suffering. He has a hit at radio with "Paper Umbrellas," a collaboration with Parker McCollum. The song originally appeared on McGraw's Standing Room Only album, which was released in 2023.
