Tim McGraw Reveals The First Moment He Fell in Love With His Wife Faith Hill

Do you believe in love at first sight? I don't know if I do; love is a complicated force that requires time with someone. That first instinct is likely just an intoxicating brew of infatuation and curiosity. But love can also act in mysterious ways. Truthfully, who knows if you can really fall in love at first sight? For Tim McGraw, he argues that's what he felt when he first saw his wife Faith Hill. Additionally, it wasn't even in person for him either. A mere image had him falling over backwards for her.

Recently, McGraw spoke with Katie Neal on Katie & Company. There, he reveals that it only took a simple picture of his future wife for him to fall in love. "I remember the very first time I saw a picture of Faith, I fell in love instantly. I think she was on 'Billboard Magazine' or something, Tim says. Then, he sees the promo photos and decides he needs to pursue Faith.

"I was walking through my management office, and I had one or two singles out off my first album that hadn't really done much. And I was in the process of recording my second album, and I walked by and saw the photo of her. I'm like, 'Oh my god, I need to find that girl,'" Tim McGraw continues.

Eventually, the pair met in 1994 at the Country Radio Seminar showcase. Unfortunately, though, they were both in relationships at the time and couldn't properly act on it. However, it only took a couple of years for their romance together. Around the time of Tim McGraw's Spontaneous Combustion tour, the pair got much closer, and they couldn't fight the feelings any longer. "We were young and silly and goo-goo-eyed in love," McGraw says.
