Tom Cruise's dedication to acting and filmmaking is absolutely unmatched. He goes to extreme lengths to ensure that his fans are satisfied with their moviegoing experience. If that means doing the stunts himself, he'll do it. Risk his life to do something cool on the camera? Absolutely. The craft is sacred to Cruise and he clearly wouldn't trade it for the world. But at some point, he has to hang it up, right?

Eventually, he'll settle down, maybe find a new wife, find new interests, the world is his oyster. He can't possibly act forever. Well, let Cruise tell it, he absolutely can. Recently, the movie star spoke to The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet for his new film Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. There, he makes his mission statement clear: he's never going to retire. Tom amends an old declaration where he said he would act until he was Harrison Ford's age. Clearly, he has a change of heart, with plans to be on the big screen until he can't anymore.
Tom Cruise Wants to Continue Acting Forever, At Any Cost
"I actually said I'm going to make movies into my 80s; actually, I'm going to make them into my 100s," he states. "I will never stop, I will never stop doing action, I will never stop doing drama, comedy films — I'm excited."
At the end of the day, Cruise finds the craft of filmmaking and acting to be far too rewarding to just stop one day. Instead, he wants to continue his mission of storytelling and experience the richness that comes with movies. "There's been so many levels of reward with the filmmakers that I've collaborated with, the crews, the people, the cultures that we've worked in. Everything that I've learned and continue to learn about storytelling, about life, about leadership, about character and every aspect of filmmaking. It's been exceptional, it really is exceptional," Cruise explains. "I feel very fortunate to be able to make the films that I make and I love it. I love just making movies."
