The accident reportedly happened at about 6 p.n. on Thursday, April 2, in Temecula, California. Sources allegedly told the outlet that Spelling, 52, was with seven kids, three of whom are pals of her children's and four of her own youngsters. Their vehicle was allegedly hit by a speeding driver who went through a red traffic light.

Spelling and her young passengers were taken to the hospital. Their injuries were "cuts, bruises, contusions and concussions," per the outlet.

Spelling Posted a Video in Which She Speaks About the Crash

In an Instagram video, Tori Spelling talked about the horrifying experience that she and the children had. Speaking haltingly, she shared, "I just wanted to reach out to everyone. This took me a bit to post, because as most of you know, four of my kids and I and three of their friends were in a car accident a few days before Easter in Temecula [California]."

Furthermore, Spelling said, "We're OK, but it's been really overwhelming. We are so grateful and so lucky because it could have been so much worse."

She Acted Quickly To Avoid an Even Worse Crash

Spelling mentioned in the video that she was able to swerve hard at the very last second. That last-ditch maneuver may have somewhat minimized the impact of the other vehicle on hers. Spelling's alert action may have spared her and the kids more serious injuries.

Spelling added, "The driver that hit us was speeding, was going crazy crazy fast. We believe he went through a light. And I'm just really grateful that in a split second, guardian angels were with us that day."

According to TMZ, Spelling is "exploring her legal options" following the crash. At this time, she has reportedly not decided what she will do, but is "strongly considering taking action against the other driver...."
