Treaty Oak Revival is known for getting involved in controversy from time to time; there's no doubt. But that doesn't mean the band is afraid to speak out, especially about the beer-throwing at their concerts. They just want you to know, they're not the biggest fans of it either.

In an interview with Tracy Lawrence, Treaty Oak's guitarist, Lance Vanley, set the record straight. When asked whether the group encourages this type of rowdiness, here's what he said.
"No, [we don't]. We have pour-only [beers] at our shows to stop or try to as much as we can. But I mean, at a certain point, people in the balcony, they don't have pour-only if they want to throw a can or a bottle, whatever." Vanley explained, "We don't encourage it. The biggest thing is, when you're done throwing the liquid around, just put it on the ground."
The guitarist explained that they're not opposed to using beer to entertain. However, they're willing to admit that sometimes it gets out of hand. "Our thing has always been the beer-shower thing," Vance explained. "I've been to festivals where they do it. They hold it up over their heads, and they swing it around in a circle, then you just the thing on the ground. The whole thing, where it just turned into throwing full cans, cups, and stuff, became more dangerous. It got a little bit more weight to it."
Just take a look at this video to see what he's talking about.
Treaty Oak Revival Is Going To Keep Giving Their Fans a Good Show, No Matter What
Treaty Oak Revival, formed in 2018, is known for blending the sounds of red-dirt country and southern rock. They're also known for their high-energy live shows, which have obviously earned them a reputation, but also built them a lasting fan base.
"We like to rock. We want to put on a high-energy show." The band explained to Country Central, "We like doing crazy stuff on stage and interacting with the crowd, and being a rock band allows you to do that."
According to Treaty Oak, they see performing as a way to thank their fans for all that they've done to support them. "Our fans have shown up for us in ways we never expected, and this tour feels like the best way to pay that back... We're still the same degenerates, just a whole lot louder, and we're ready to raise hell with everyone who walks through those doors."
