Trisha Yearwood Is a Co-Writer on Her New Album, 'The Mirror'

Trisha Yearwood is a co-writer on all of the songs on her new album 'The Mirror'. Here is what we know about it so far.

On May 1, 2025, Trisha Yearwood took to Instagram to announce her new album, The Mirror, which is scheduled for release on July 18, 2025. With the release being ten days out, here's what we know about the album so far.

One aspect that distinguishes the new release from previous projects Yearwood has worked on is that every song is co-written and co-produced by her, as she expressed in her Instagram post promoting the release. "Co-writing an entire album is something 22-year-old me would have never thought possible, but here we are...Excited doesn't even cover it!"

Yearwood is collaborating with GRAMMY-award-winning producer Chad Carlson on the production of this album, whom she has described as a longtime collaborator. Carlson was also an engineer on and mixed Yearwood's latest release, Every Girl. Yearwood also co-wrote the majority of the album's songs with a crew of powerhouse writers, including Leslie Satcher, Bridgette Tatum, Makayla Lynn, and Jim "Moose" Brown.

For the announcement of this new project, Trisha Yearwood took to the Bluebird Cafe, one of the world's most iconic venues for songwriters, to showcase a few of the tracks on The Mirror. Accompanied by some of her co-writers, she performed "Bringing the Angels", a song she co-wrote with her sister, Beth Bernard, as well as her 2024 release "Put It In A Song" and a few other new tracks and fan favorites.

Yearwood also appeared on the

Kelly Clarkson Show back in February, where she performed another new song titled "The Wall or The Way Over" and discussed her journey with songwriting during the making of this album.

On her last project, Every Girl, released in 2019 alongside a deluxe edition in 2021, Yearwood chose to continue the path she has embarked on for years, showcasing the stories written by other songwriters. However, as she said of her new release, "This album is me in every way." This time, she's telling her own story, and we can't wait to hear her spin on it.
