He says, "It's a beautiful part of the country that gets more sunshine than maybe even Arizona and New Mexico. It's incredible. So that's why [my family and I are] there. And it's really healthy living."
Jeffrey Donovan Is Raising His Kids in Colorado
The Burn Notice star recently shared what makes Colorado a fantastic place to live. And like any great love story, it starts with a woman.
"I met my future wife while I was finishing a job, and she was from Colorado, and once I started visiting there, I never stopped," the 57-year-old actor said. "It's an incredible state, and I'm raising my children there, and we're never leaving."
As Page Six reports, Donovan and his wife met in 2011, married a year later in Santa Barbara, California, and now have three children: Claire, Lucas, and Ethan. And he has no intention of raising them anywhere else.
"I find [raising a family] less challenging in Colorado, which plays to my talent level of raising kids," Donovan explained. "If it's not hard raising kids in Colorado, then that's where I wanna be."
Where Else Do I Know Jeffrey Donovan From?
At the beginning of his career, Donovan was known as "that guy," often appearing in supporting roles in films like Changeling, Hitch, and Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2.
However, it was his lead role in the action comedy series Burn Notice that elevated his profile. The USA Network show went on for seven seasons.
"I feel very fortunate about the show, but I also know that at the time it was the most grueling to this day job I've ever had," he said. "It was difficult, but I look back at if I didn't take that job, and I wasn't there, I would never have met my future wife and had my three beautiful children."
Donovan later had lead roles in Law & Order and now stars in the FOX Bible drama The Faithful.
In addition to his TV work, fans of Taylor Sheridan will recognize Donovan from his role as Steve Forsing in the film Sicario and its sequel, Sicario: Day of the Soldado.
