Soccer star Christian Pulisic is addressing rumors that claim he's dating actress Sydney Sweeney. The 28-year-old recently starred alongside Amanda Seyfried in The Housemaid.

Most guys would be thrilled to find out that someone thought they were dating the blonde bombshell. However, Pulisic is letting fans know via Instagram that for him, that's not the case. What's more, he doesn't sound too happy about the rumors either.
On Sunday, December 28, Pulisic took to the social media app to set the record straight. "Fake news guys, let's stop with the silly rumor," he wrote directly under a post from Motivating Sport. He also reposted a For the Win post, which has since expired. He pleaded with fans, "Also, please stop with the made-up stories about my personal life. Need to hold sources accountable, it can affect people's lives."
Sydney, on the other hand, has had very little to say about the dating rumors with Pulisic. It would seem she's too busy canoodling with Scooter Braun, whom she's been spotted out in public with multiple times. According to a source from Us Weekly, Scooter is "very into" Sweeney, and "has been trying to see her in between her work commitments."
Christian Pulisic is also in a relationship with Alexa Melton, with whom he's been linked since July. It was then that Melton posted an Instagram carousel of the two of them with the playful caption, "Soft launch."
A Brief Rundown of Sydney Sweeney's Relationship History
Before people were speculating about her current relationship status, Sweeney was actually engaged to Jonathan Davino, whom she dated from 2018 to 2025. Davino is actually a producer and worked with Sweeney on projects like Anyone But You and Immaculate. However, in early 2025, after reports revealed that the couple had decided to postpone their wedding, they called off the engagement. Sweeney apparently wasn't ready to settle down and wanted to keep focusing on her growing career.
Since calling off her engagement, Sweeney has been linked to everyone, from actors like Glenn Powell, whom she starred alongside in Anyone But You in 2023, to artists like Machine Gun Kelly shortly after her split.
However, in a 2022 interview with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney revealed that she typically tries to avoid dating people with careers similar to hers. "I don't date people in the spotlight," she shared. "I don't date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it's easiest."
Well, it sounds like she's going against the grain a bit with Scooter Braun. But, as long as she's healthy and happy, we're here for it.
