The San Angelo Whataburger, located at N. Bryant Blvd and 19th Street didn't realize the Oscar-winning actor was in their drive-thru until one employee noticed his name on the credit card he handed them. Brooklynn Deanne Oden, one of the employees, went back to the window to see if it was really him. "We asked if he was Matthew McConaughey and he said he was his brother!" She told KTXS. "So we started talking too him some more and he finally says 'y'all don't still think I'm his brother do you?'" Matthew McConaughey's brother Mike "Rooster" McConaughey lives about 45 minutes from the location, so there's a possibility the star was heading to see him and stopped in the Whataburger drive-thru to get some grub.
The star promised to say his famous catchphrase from the movie Dazed and Confused if the employees got his food right. "He told me he would say 'alight, alright, alright' if we got his food right. So we triple checked it," Oden said. With a phone in her hand, Oden handed over the food and Actor Matthew McConaughey spoke out the famous words before driving off in his SUV.
