Garth Brooks' album No Fences appeared on Spotify randomly, giving fans a glimmer of hope. Only for it to be removed shortly after. What was the deal with that?

While Garth Brooks battles sexual assault and battery allegations, his album suddenly appeared available for streaming on Spotify. In 2016, the singer made a deal with Amazon Music, making his tracks exclusive to the platform.
Spotify has multitudes more users than Amazon Music, meaning the vast majority of Brook's fans are missing out on his music. So seeing his album show up unexpectedly was a pleasant surprise. Until it became common knowledge that this was likely a fan uploading in his name.
People took to Reddit to discuss the sudden appearance, where they talked about the dodgy quality of the uploaded tracks.
"Garth's No Fences is on Spotify!" posted one to the site with a link. "No idea if his deal is over or what, but No Fences is available for streaming," they wrote.
Unfortunately, this wasn't an official upload, at least according to popular theory. The album was taken down, so regardless of what the blip was, Garth Brooks is exclusive to Amazon Music.
A Fan Likely Uploaded Pirated Garth Brooks Music To Spotify As The Artist
People online discussed how scuffed the quality of the music is, leading many to believe that a fan had pirated or recorded the music and uploaded it under Garth Brook's name.
Also, the album itself was missing some tracks.
"It's missing Unanswered Prayer, Same old Story and Wolves. Odd. Also New Way to Fly is live. Extra odd. They're all marked explicit as well lol," one wrote, highlighting the anomalies.
"Also the sound is wacky on these tracks some loud and some not so," says another, adding to the list.
As the music got taken down, it's clear that Garth Brooks' music isn't leaving Amazon's clutches any time soon. Sorry fans, but you'll likely never see his music on Spotify.
Garth Brooks has spoken out about Spotify and Apple Music, and has touched on why he won't sign with them. And I don't think he'll change his mind soon, especially with the allegations put toward him. This is likely the last thing on his mind.
