Why A Tennessee Politician Is Calling Out Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow is no stranger to the best and worst social media has to offer. The Country superstar recently drew ire for a video on X, which is something she even addressed in a recent interview. That interview also caught the attention of one particular politician.

In a now-viral post on Instagram, Crow posted a video of herself waving her Tesla away as a truck transported it away from her property. The caption for the post reads, "My parents always said... you are who you hang out with. There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla."

The sale of the Tesla appears to be in response to Elon Musk's involvement with the Trump administration. However, one commenter pointed out that Crow posted the video long after filming it, citing the season. Crow later posted another video explaining the situation.

On April 30, The Country veteran took part in an interview with Variety. She touched on many different topics, including an alarming incident on her property where an armed man got into her barn.

Crow's Interview Caught The Attention Of A Tennessee Congressman

Crow's political stance is celebrated by some and revered by others, but her recent interview with Variety caught the attention of one Tennessee politician. Tim Burchett, who has been a Tennessee Congressman since 2019, pointed out how Crow didn't mention one perk of living in the state. Burchett took to X and linked to Fox News coverage of the Variety interview, saying, "I noticed she didn't complain about Tennessee not having an income tax."

Adding fuel to the fire, Tomi Lahren, a Fox News commentator, replied, "She can leave." Burchett responded, "I bet she has a crappy garage sale when she does." Crow has not responded, but did say during the interview, "Tennessee is a hard place for me. I mean, I struggle. I call my representatives every single morning. Andy Ogles and Marsha Blackburn hear from me every day because we have to stand up and be vocal and fight for the future for our kids." She also said that despite the incident with the intruder at her home, she does not regret moving from Nashville to Tennessee.
