Will Morgan Wallen Attend Tonight’s CMA Awards? Is He Nominated for Any Awards?

Morgan Wallen has never hid his feelings about award shows, which makes his potential presence at tonight's CMA awards a hot topic

Morgan Wallen has made no secret about his feelings toward award shows. He's been known to skip them in the past, regardless of whether he's been up for an award or two. With that in mind, it's fair to wonder whether he'll be in attendance for the CMA Awards on Wednesday.

Wallen is nominated in three categories this year, so he could be tempted to make an appearance, especially due to the fact that he's got a shot at winning all three. Of course, that doesn't mean he will make the trip, as he's previously noted that he doesn't feel welcome at award show events.

"There have been times in my life where I didn't feel welcome," Wallen told 97.1 Hank FM. "And to me, that line means, 'Hey, I know I wasn't invited, but I'm still eatin' and I'm still fed.'"

What Awards Has Morgan Wallen Been Nominated for at the 2025 CMAs?

In 2024, Wallen won the Entertainer of the Year award. And he's back in the running for the prestigious honor, which is seen as the CMA's top award, once again. However, that's not the only category Wallen has been nominated for.

The "I'm The Problem" star is also up for Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Given his stellar 2025, he could potentially secure a clean sweep, as he further cements himself as one of the top country artists on the global stage.

Of course, there's no guarantee that the allure of winning those awards will be enough to draw him to Bridgestone, Nashville.

How To Watch the CMA Awards

The CMA awards will be broadcast live on ABC, or can be streamed via Hulu from Thursday, Nov. 20. The event will begin airing at 8 pm Eastern Time. It will undoubtedly provide some stellar entertainment for country music fans.

Wallen's presence will undoubtedly be a significant talking point heading into the show. If he's present, expect the camera to quickly pan toward him, and if he's not, the coverage will undoubtedly touch on his absence. The interesting part will be seeing who collects any awards he wins if he's not in the building.
