Willie Nelson has reshared a classic and hilarious video for April Fool's Day, and it has fans new and old wishing that it was real.

April Fool's Day was Tuesday, and Willie Nelson shared an old video that was once shared in a Conan episode years ago. It was a fake audition for The Hobbit 2, where he is auditioning for the role of Gandalf, and his son Micah for the role of Bilbo.
Many people wouldn't have seen this video before, and April Fool's was the perfect day to get it out of the basement again.
Throughout the audition tape, the country legend is dressed in Gandalf gear as he riffs on classic lines and puts his acting chops on full display. Willie and Micah also have a couple of brilliant back-and-forths.
It's a great watch. I think my favorite line would have to be, "You shall not pass an unlit joint, man... that's just not cool." It's not every day that an internet video actually gets a laugh out of me, but this one did it.

"Well this is just the greatest !!!" exclaimed a fan.
"This is hysterical, Willie is a living legend," laughed another.
"Can't wait for the follow-up on this prequel," anticipates one fan, and neither can I. For next April Fool's Day, they should reenact a scene from any one of the films. It's what the fans want.
"Willie would use the fires of Mordor to light his bowl," joked one more.
No Willie Nelson fan should miss out on this one.
