Willie Nelson dead? No, folks. The country legend was forced to once again address rumors of his passing early this morning.
The whispers started on Twitter during the early hours of Aug. 3. Multiple radio stations began tweeting that they had heard through the grapevine that Nelson had died.

Thankfully, it only took a couple of hours for the story to be confirmed as false.

It's unclear where this rumor started, but it's far from the first time that Willie has been declared dead prematurely. In 2015, a fake website that was created to resemble MSNBC.com posted an article saying Nelson had passed away. The article was updated three times over the next six months, keeping the rumor alive.

While Nelson has suffered some health issues in recent months, he's still hard at work on the touring circuit. He's scheduled to perform tomorrow (Aug. 4) at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. The 84-year-old is currently out supporting his latest record, God's Problem Child, which dropped earlier this year. Appropriately, the album includes the tongue-in-cheek track "Still Not Dead," which was inspired by all of those pesky death rumors.
