Willie Nelson's Son Stuns On 'The Tonight Show' When Performing Lead Title From Latest Album

Willie Nelson's son, Lukas Nelson, beautifully performed the lead single of his latest album, American Romance, on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

I really don't think Lukas Nelson gets the recognition he deserves. Not only is he Willie Nelson's son, but he is also an incredible singer-songwriter. He recently released his album American Romance, his first album since 2021.

And I've gotta say, it's a solid album. My favorite song is "Born Runnin' Outta Time," a single that I've got on repeat. This is closely followed by "Pretty Much," however. When it was released, the former single made it to WOC's weekly rankings at the top spot.

Unfortunately, Lukas Nelson didn't play "Born Runnin' Outta Time." But he did play "American Romance," and he delivered the song perfectly. Every now and then, you get a hint of that signature Nelson sound. As though his father is singing through him every now and then.

Unfortunately, Lukas Nelson didn't get an interview segment with Jimmy Fallon. But I'm sure he'll have him on soon (please, Jimmy, please).

You can watch the performance below.

Fans Shower Lukas Nelson In Support After "American Romance" Performance

He's pretty good, right?

As I've said before, Lukas Nelson really doesn't the attention he deserves from the fans. He has a loyal listener base of around 1.1 million on Spotify alone. However, I still feel like that's too low for him. If you haven't really listened to Lukas Nelson before, now's the time to do it.

Fans commented under the video to share their support over the performance.

"Great all around song writing," praised one.

"Beautiful song Luke is a great musician," supported another.

"It's in the DNA... Fantastic! The Anti-Nepo-baby... so freaking good!" exclaimed a third.

"Wow, just incredible," complimented one more.

Being Willie Nelson's son aside, Lukas is certainly a musician worth his salt. He's covered his father innumerable times and has aced it every time.

Hopefully soon, the industry will stop referring to him as Willie Nelson's son, and instead simply as Lukas Nelson.
